When Anatol (Wallace Reid) runs across his former
schoolmate, Emilie (Wanda Hawley, above), in a restaurant
and learns that she is leading a disreputable life
as the "kept woman" of a much older man, he
determines to "save" her, in spite of
his wife's (Gloria Swanson) protests.
